Our 20′ Side Door Container is suitable for all types of general freight with optional Mezzanine deck system for flexible freight heights. The SCF 20’ SideDoor is built to perform in the harshest of conditions and designed to give you peace of mind. A versatile container most suited for 2 pallet wide heavy or dense freight, including irregular freight such as steel coils and machinery. Our 20′ Side Door Container is the ideal solution for intermodal transport between road and rail.

OPERATIONAL BENEFITS 

Door Opening

  • Large door opening width and height allows for loading efficiencies with larger pallets
  • Maximum door swing with tie backs to secure doors

Handling

  • Loaded top lift from 20’ Corner Castings
  • Empty & full load bottom lift from bottom central fork pockets

Restraint

  • SCF Ladder lashing system rated to 5 tonne each, allowing the effective restraint of multiple irregular freight types
  • Load binder straps to restrain general and special freight types
  • Doors rated to 0.6P for rail compliant freight restraint

Damage

  • Reinforced hinge system to reduce side impact damage
  • Top corner protection plates to reduce damage when lifting
  • Reinforced door corrugation to deflect impact damage

Operational

  • SCF door hardware design to reduce container racking and operation time
  • Internal width of 2420mm for maximum pallet spacing
  • Longer nose locking cam to enable easier door closing
