The Garden of Unearthly Delights

This year, The Garden showcases a new feature – fourteen SCF containers used as offices and backstage change rooms. Shipping containers have been used many times in the past by the pop-up venue, but the SCF containers offered attractive features not seen in the past.

Satellite Communication Containers

SpeedCast’s mandate was to source a superior version of the existing solution that is currently being used by a major oil and gas company in PNG, and approached SCF to take on this project. With previous factory built container rooms catching SpeedCast’s eye, they were confident that SCF could provide the experience and expertise required to deliver a robust solution to house their remote communications equipment, including redundant 2.4m VSAT antennas and wireless distribution system.

Custom Built Workshop

Custom builds are something that we at SCF pride ourselves on. Due to every customer having different requirements, at SCF we take the time to understand the specific needs in order to tailor a specialised solution. The intent is to exceed expectations with every build.

Shipping Container Drive Thru Coffee Shop

Using 3 x 20 foot high-cube shipping containers supplied by SCF’s Melbourne depot, James and Aaron started the modifications in James’ parent’s Melbourne backyard. After the main modifications were made, transportation of the containers from Melbourne to Adelaide was seamless, as the containers fit perfectly on a truck. The ability to save on transportation costs and land leasing during the modification process, made shipping containers the ideal foundation for their project.
